I Have a Mystery

in my garden. This has come up before it looks like a carrot
and grows in the Sweet or (creeping) Jenny
With in a short time it deflates. Do you think it is a
fungus or part of the Jenny?

    We had a lot of creeping Jenny at one of our houses and I don't recall seeing anything like that. It is a mystery.

    I'm wondering if it was once an open meadow filled with Queen Anne's Lace, they were once wild carrots ?

    You are right it was a open meadow and we have a hay field in the back, they have not cut it and it is filled with Queen Anne's Lace.
