I have been re reading this very old book about The Diary of a Plain Dirt Gardener it was Copyright, 1933 by Sears Publishing Company. Enlarge and read some of his entry.
Harry R. O'Brien wrote for Better Homes & Gardens about his diary on gardening starting in 1922. I used to collect old magazine, Better Homes & Gardens was how I fell in love with Him and Gladys Taber's books.
I am a huge Gladys Tabor fan. I have some of her books and I can read them over and over. Thanks for sharing this article...I love reading things like this. Balisha
