My younger son Greg took me to Pocahontas, Arkansas to the Super Walmart today, and we stopped at the beautiful Courthouse there, for the touching ceremony honoring veterans. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera!

I hope the Bennie is doing much better today.

RenieRenie Burghardthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02660484248593903002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5264535344022781523.post-13603762208038448672008-11-11T15:29:00.000-08:002008-11-11T15:29:00.000-08:00Great post! A symbol of hope for us.

I've just watched an Armistice Day service on TV and there were 3 veterans of WW1 there laying wreaths at the Cenotaph in London. The eldest was 112 years old, he's the oldest man in Europe, amazing. The youngest was a mere 108 years.

After the service they were off for lunch with the Prime Minister. Not sure if that would be something I would want to do but I suppose it's an honour.Winifredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12415302188575538163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5264535344022781523.post-80807067643526631312008-11-11T04:44:00.000-08:002008-11-11T04:44:00.000-08:00Good morning.
